The latest DRDO recruitment 2019 notification issue on the official DRDO website on 9 May 2019 apprises interested candidates of the availability of 5 DRDO JRF Vacancies at the Defence Bioengineering and Electromedical Laboratory (DEBEL), Bangalore, a premier Institute of Defence Research and Development Organisation. DEBEL has also invited applications from engineers for 10 graduate apprentice positions. The candidates would be selected based on a walk-in-interview to be held on 20 June 2019. The selected candidates would be eligible for a salary of Rs 25,000 plus house rent allowance.
Who is Eligible to Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy?
A per the information given in the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification, there are a total of 5 DRDO JRF positions available our of which 2 JRF positions are for Postgraduates in Chemistry (MSc or equivalent) with a first class and NET qualification by CSIR-UGC (NET) MHRD GATE or JEST; or, Engineers with a BE or BTech in Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering with a first class along with CSIR-UGC (NET) / GATE qualification; or, Postgraduate engineers with ME or MTech in Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering with first division in both graduation and post-graduation.
Also, there is one JRF position available for Engineers with a BE or BTech in Electronics with a first class along with CSIR-UGC (NET) / GATE qualification; or, Postgraduate engineers with MTech in Electronics with first division in both graduation and post-graduation.
Furthermore, Candidates with a post Graduate degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, or Microbiology with first division or equivalent grading with CSIR-UGC NET Qualification can apply for 2 JRF positions.
The candidates should not be more than of age on the date of the interview; however, there is a relaxation of 03 years for OBC and 05 years for SC/ST, says the notification. The candidates would be selected for a period of two years 02 years, which may then be extended further and upgraded to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) as allowed by rules.

Candidates who fulfill the required eligibility criteria need to first send an application form that can be downloaded from the official DRDO website and send their completed application as per the format provided in the advertisement via e-mail before 3 June 2019 to email@example.com. A copy of the form must be brought along with the complete bio data on the date of interview, which is on 20 June 2019.
The reporting time for the walk-in-interview would be between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM at Raman Main Gate Reception, DEBEL Compound, DRDO, ADE Campus, CV Raman Nagar, Suranjan Das Road, Bangalore 560093. Candidates need to also take note of the fact that electronic items like mobile, laptops and so on are not allowed inside the DEBEL campus. Depending on the number of candidates who appear for the interview, a written test may be conducted for the candidates from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Candidates need to also mention the Fellowship or Subject Code for which they are appearing, says the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification.
